Today we're going to be in the media center with Ms. Packer, learning a little bit more about stereotypes, specifically in ABC. (P.S. Take the poll below to tell me how much you liked the book!) You'll get the chance to brainstorm some different stereotypes, identify alllllllllll the stereotypes we saw in ABC (you know there are a ton of them), and then create your own four-panel comic to show an instance in which stereotyping occurs. This is a perfect warm-up for our graphic novel project, which you'll learn more about tomorrow.
Two Announcements:
1) I have decided the body biography activity will be optional/supplementary/extra credit. You may earn up to 50 bonus points by completing this assignment to the best of your ability. I put the directions on here on Friday, and I also have copies, so see me if you need/want this.
2) Your character logs are due tomorrow, Tuesday 10.15. They must be completely filled out and your answers should NOT be identical to anyone else's. Remember that I have been available every morning and every afternoon for you to use a book, so not having a book does not = an excuse for not having your work. You want these points!
