Today we are starting the core text of Unit 3, Ayn Rand's novella Anthem. The books are a class set, so all reading will be done in class. If you are absent/miss class from any reason, you MUST be sure to catch up on your reading. The text is widely available online. Here are a couple sites you can use to read: http://www.noblesoul.com/orc/texts/anthem/complete.html#A1.0

With only three weeks left, it is extremely important that you keep up with your work and take responsibility for your grades and your success. I have provided you with MANY opportunities to succeed. At this time, if you are struggling, it is a clear indicator that you have not taken advantage of all the opportunities that have been given to you.
Remember:
- ANY and ALL late work that you intend to turn in is due no later than next Friday, May 9. Start with projects, as they are worth the most points. Do not go back and do small assignments (less than 30 points). I will grade projects and major assignments. Please remember, per the policy in our syllabus, the maximum grade you can receive is a 70%, and that is for perfect work.
- The Unit 3 extra credit that was assigned on Friday is also due no later than Friday, May 9. You have two options and you may complete one (for up to 100 points) or both (for up to 200 points).
- You will have one final extra credit option that I am giving out in class today. That is due by Friday, May 16.
