Good morning. I hope you had an enjoyable break.
Yesterday I was out, and students were supposed to read Chapters 4-5-6 of American Born Chinese, completing the reading logs and the character development logs. From the sub's notes as well as my review of the student work, I can see that some students worked very hard (thank you!!!) and some did nothing. For those who are behind, you will have to catch up on your own. Please come see me before or after school if you need help.
Today we're back to the grind:
EQ: How can I identify and analyze the theme of teen angst in a work of literature? How can I analyze the development of a complex character in the text?
We'll start by doing a peer notebook check, then plunge into our reading of ABC, work on the reading logs, and go through the character logs together.
