Today we are beginning a short research project in class, in which we examine the following questions:
What is an example of a real-world dystopia? What information can I gather from a variety of sources to prove that a real-world situation is like a dystopia?
Yesterday you had the chance to vote on your top three choices of topics; I took your preferences and assigned you to a topic and (in most cases) a partner. You'll be working together to conduct online research to find information about how your topic (a place/situation) is dystopian, in that it has dystopian characteristics. After conducting all your research, you'll work together to create a Glogster poster.... more info on that tomorrow!!
For today, we'll start with a KWL, then you'll research and fill out a graphic organizer for your work.
Reminder: Dystopia One-Pagers are due on Friday, 11/22!! 4 more days!
