Here are some answers to your Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) left on exit slips the last two days....
1) Are we going to read books as a class? Yes.
2) How often do we have to put stickers on the cabinet? This is something we'll do as an exit slip several times a week.
3) Do we have to read books every month? Each unit is about a month long, and we have one major reading per unit.
4) Are tests multiple choice or written response? Common assessments are a combination of both.
5) If we're not taking the EOCT, what are we taking? Common assessments.
6) What average is a passing grade? 70 or above.
7) Can you please not make me work with anyone? Sometimes, you'll have to work in groups. Learning to collaborate with others is a life skill!
8) Can I use a dictionary? Of course!
9) Will we watch movies often? I like to incorporate video clips as often as I can, and we will be watching a couple of documentaries here and there.
10) Is there a heavy homework load? Generally, I don't assign nightly homework. It is your responsibility to complete in-class assignments that are not finished but need to be turned in. Your major ongoing homework will be the unit projects and your personal blog.
11) Will we do a lot of projects? Yes. One per unit, as well as your ongoing personal blog.
12) Do we really need a 3-ring binder? Yes. It will help improve your organizational skills!

14) Will we have to present a lot? Yep!
15) Can we get extra credit when we fall off the wagon? I will give you extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. It's up to you to do them when you get them. If, at the end of the semester, you haven't completed extra credit, or your regular assignments for that matter, there will be nothing additional for you to do.

17) Is this class just like 9th Lit? Not at all.
